As already demonstrated by the GenBank data deposited by Cui et al (2018) for east Asian flavoconioids, nrITS does NOT serve to cleanly segregate taxa in that group (check A. flavipes, A. detersa (means "deciduous"), and A. flavosquamosa. North American taxa seem similarly hard to segregate. In both cases, it seems that rpb2 is successful at differentiating all known and proposed taxa. New pages: Amanita detersa and A. flavosquamosa.
